Installation Kriegersflak topsides in Baltic Sea

The Kriegersflak substations that Hollandia Offshore built in cooperation with main subcontractor Croonwolter&dros for Energinet.dk, have arrived, right on schedule, at their final destination in the Baltic Sea. Scaldis succesfully installed the topsides on the foundations, which were placed by Jan de Nul earlier this year. These coming weeks, hook-up activities will take place. Read more

Substations for Kriegersflak on transport

After a succesful load out, the 3 substations for Energinet.dk are being shipped to their final destination in the Baltic Sea. Hollandia Offshore built these fully operational substations in cooperation with main subcontractor Croonwolter&dros. The substations KFA, KFB en KFE will be installed at Kriegersflak Vattenfall's 600 MW Wind Farm in the Danish sector of the Baltic Sea. Latest update: cause of HEBO-Lift 2 accident known

On April 17th, during the loading of bridge sections in Krimpen, an accident took place with the HEBO-Lift 2.The first assessment was that it was probably a technical defect. After investigation, it appears that the technical failure of the crane was due to the collapse of the anchor point of the tie back cable for superlift configuration. HEBO is currently investigating how this could have happened despite the ship being new and certified. Read more

New state of the art painting facility

Mid May 2016 the board of Hollandia decided to extend the capacity for shot blasting and painting and to build the new Hall 12. At the beginning of June the design was presented to the local authorities and permits were requested. Meanwhile procurement for the foundation, construction and installations started and in July the piles were driven into the ground. Hollandia Offshore B.V. signs Kriegers Flak offshore substations fabrication contract.

On May 31 2016, Hollandia Offshore B.V. and Energinet.dk, the Danish Transmission System Operator, signed the contract for the engineering, procurement and commissioning of the Kriegers Flak substations. The project comprises two unmanned substations which are due for delivery to the installation site in April 2018. Commissioning will take place in April and May of 2018. Crane jib for the Stanislav Yudin

Finally, after 4 months of hard work, the crane jib of the Stanislav Yudin Main crane left the Hollandia premises, ready to be installed on the vessel. Due to potential future projects Seaway Heavy Lifting has planned an upgrade of the crane jib by introducing a second Main Hoist (lifting capacity 1200mt) in between the existing Main Hoist and Auxiliary hoist. On Monday 18th of January 2016 the giant C400 J lay tower has sailed out to the port of Blyth in the UK for final completion and commissioning by IHC EB. Energinet.dk, the Danish power transmission company has appointed Hollandia Offshore with the procurement, fabrication, load out and transport of the Horns Rev C Jacket. The Jacket is to be installed in the Horns Rev 3 Offshore wind farm near the Danish Coast. The scheduled delivery date is April 2016. Sail away S44!

Sail away S44! On Thursday 22th of October, the gigantic S44 launch barge owned by Saipem has left the quay of Hollandia Offshore. The barge has been loaded with new and modified skid beam sections, outrigger girders and both port side and starboard rocker arms. In total 2300 ton of new steel has been installed. Delivery of first two sleepers!

Hollandia has delivered to Saipem the first pair of cable crossing sleepers. After only 2 months period for fabrication, painting and assembly, both sleepers were loaded on a truck for delivery in Bulgaria. Hollandia Offshore has been awarded by IHC EB with the contract for the fabrication of the J-lay tower for the Petrofac JSD6000. The scope of work comprises steel procurement, work shop engineering, fabrication, painting, machining and partially outfitting.
